Artist Duo - A.A. Murakami bring Claude AI into the studio for an immersive, multi-sensory installation.
The artist duo A.A. Murakami have joined forces with Claude, Anthropic’s frontier AI model, to create an immersive, multi-sensory installation. Known for working with fog, bubbles, and plasma, the Tokyo- and London-based artists spawn environments that feel unstable and alive—spaces where technology dissolves into physical phenomena and perception is constantly shifting.
“What people actually don’t see is behind the surface. We need the systems to operate autonomously, but entropy still creeps in. And we were able to work with Claude, to become the technician we leave behind. When you start talking to Claude you see the world in a completely different way. Claude read every science paper.”

A.A Murakami latest Installation
In their latest mind-warping installation “The Moon Underwater,” Claude functions as a studio collaborator supporting ideation and experimentation rather than replacing human vision. Claude has emerged as a favorite among creatives signaling a shift in AI from command-driven utility to nuance, dialogue, and creative adjacency. The project positions AI as a creative tool that extends artistic license while leaving authorship, intuition, and decision-making firmly in artists hands.
